Hal Jones has been a professional communicator for 40 years. A career in journalism - in newspapers, radio and television - took him to 70 countries on five continents.
He was a correspondent for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in London, Moscow, Washington and Toronto covering super-power and economic summits, politics, global trade talks, wars, natural disasters and business. He met and/or interviewed several heads of state and government including US Presidents Ford, Carter and Reagan, British Prime Minister Thatcher and Prime Ministers Trudeau and Mulroney of Canada.
The depth and breadth of his journalistic experience provides valuable insights into how events and issues are likely to be viewed and reported by the media in Canada, the US and elsewhere.
Since joining Allan Bonner Communications Hal has worked with companies of every size and type in industry, telecommunications, electronics, pharmaceuticals and finance as well as with public institutions and governments.
He continues to speak on international affairs and the media to business and professional groups and has lectured to university, college and high school students. He has also been involved in specialized training for those in the media going into hot spots and war zones.
